Nighthawk Flight Systems Announces Appointment of a New Board of Directors, Helping Position the Company for Future Growth

VISTA, California – May 23, 2024 – Nighthawk Flight Systems, Inc., a developer of advanced compact integrated avionics for rotary and fixed-wing aircraft in the general aviation, business, air transport, and military markets, announces the appointment of a highly qualified board of directors to guide the company through its next growth phase. Nighthawk recently announced its formation during Vertical Aviation International’s Heli-Expo event earlier this year.

Paul Martin, Chairman

Formerly a consultant for Nighthawk tasked with advising its leadership, Martin was hired as CEO and serves as Chairman of the Board. He has a background as a flight test engineer and project manager; he brings decades of experience from senior executive roles at Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky. He has since invested in and led several companies to help turn around and grow company operations.


Steven Jeppson, Secretary

Nighthawk’s chief financial officer, Jeppson, was appointed to the board as Secretary. Jeppson brings a strong background and senior executive leadership experience in investment and acquisitions for real estate investment firms to the board. Steve is a tenacious, pragmatic, and thorough manager who combines visionary enthusiasm with practical skills and technical background learned only through solving real-world challenges.


Jordan Sawkin, Board Member

Sawkin is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group and Co-Head of Brookfield Sponsor Solutions. Representing one of the world’s largest private equity firms, he is responsible for investment origination, analysis, and execution across a variety of sectors globally. This work includes Brookfield financing the development of Nighthawk’s next generation of products.


Albert Altieri, Board Member

Altieri is CEO of WHI Global, a leading manufacturer of complex aerospace and defense components. He brings more than 30 years of experience in supply chain management and large company operations to the board, including as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sikorsky Aftermarket Services, where he was responsible for $2.6B P&L supporting Sikorsky products worldwide. He is employing his expertise and deep well of contacts to help Nighthawk strengthen its supply chain and shop floor operations.


Paul Meyer, Board Member

Paul Meyer is an experienced senior executive in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. His accomplishments include leading advanced development organizations at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, Northrop Grumman Aeronautics, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Seabury Aviation, and Raytheon. He brings a deep understanding of program management, sales, and US Government acquisition programs to Nighthawk.
